The Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Forces (CBDF) launched Operation "Trat Suppression," mobilizing combat forces across all dimensions. Using HTMS Thepha, they fired naval artillery in support of ground troops, securing 80% of the strategic "Ban Sam Lang" area.
On 10 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Forces (CBDF) reported that due to the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border in various areas, including Chanthaburi and Trat provinces under naval responsibility, they initiated Operation "Trat Suppression." This operation mobilizes combat forces across all dimensions—sea, air, and land—to safeguard Thailand's territorial sovereignty.
. HTMS Thepha immediately entered the operational area to conduct continuous 24-hour patrols and inspections. All personnel were elevated to combat-ready status, and all shipboard weapons were fully prepared and ready for immediate deployment in response to any situation.
On 9 Dec 2025 GMT+7, HTMS Thepha provided artillery support firing from the ship to assist ground forces in capturing the "Ban Sam Lang" area at Ban Nong Ri. Thai forces destroyed 80% of the Cambodian strongholds there. Marine forces succeeded in burning down all three houses and bunkers, which were believed to have been used to store weapons and ammunition, and these were also destroyed.
The process of securing the area is ongoing. However, Cambodian forces have dug bunkers and trenches as shelters and used heavy artillery to counter Thai forces. As a result, the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Forces have not yet been able to fully capture the area.
