The Thanyarak Foundation and True Plookpanya launched the "Thanyarak Camp 2025," bringing together new generation leaders from 38 Rajabhat Universities across the country to drive the mission of conquering breast cancer and to build sustainable protection for Thai women's health.
On 11 December 2025 GMT+7, the Thanyarak Foundation, under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn serving as honorary chairperson, held the "Thanyarak Camp 2025" leadership development camp. Mrs. Bussadee Chiaravanont, board member and secretary-general of the Foundation, presided over the opening. The camp partnered with True Plookpanya to enhance knowledge, skills, and inspiration among over 150 students and faculty representing Thanyarak clubs from 38 Rajabhat Universities nationwide. These leaders have been key in continuously driving breast cancer prevention campaigns in communities for four years, promoting Thai women's access to breast self-examination (BSE) knowledge to detect early risks, reduce disease progression, and increase timely treatment opportunities.
Mrs. Bussadee Chiaravanont, board member and secretary-general of the Thanyarak Foundation and chairperson of the Breast Cancer Eradication Mission at the Rajabhat University Thanyarak Clubs, said, "Thanyarak club students are the creative, dedicated new generation committed to helping society. Their important role in accurately transmitting knowledge about breast cancer prevention and proper self-examination to communities is commendable. The Foundation also invites everyone to embrace the concept of The Power of Self-Love, because caring for our health is no longer just personal; it is a gift to those we love, allowing us to care for one another long-term. New students are our hope in expanding this power into communities and are essential in protecting more Thai women from breast cancer. Creating one leader means changing hundreds of lives in the community. Thanyarak Camp 2025 is not merely a training camp but a true extension of the breast cancer eradication mission powered by youth, aiming for all Thai women to have equal access to knowledge and prevention, building a safer society in the long run."
The camp was filled with deep learning and the enthusiasm of young leaders. Participants engaged in medical panel discussions on women's health, including breast cancer led by Dr. Chalermdej Karnwattan, physician at the Thanyarak Center and vice-chair of the Breast Cancer Eradication Mission, an expert in breast cancer, as well as cervical cancer by Associate Professor Dr. Nichamon Pakphinyo, obstetrics and gynecology lecturer at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. These sessions enhanced participants' understanding of prevention, care, and proper health surveillance for women.
Content creator Maxine - Intiporn Taemsukhin, owner of the health channel "Maxdicine," shared her experience in making health stories engaging and relatable to the youth. Additionally, True Plookpanya provided "mental tools" through knowledge of advocacy communication, creative media design, and effective online media use by Mr. Boonkiat Puttha, digital marketing and e-commerce expert and advisor from True Digital Academy. This equipped club leaders to design activities and advocacy media that deeply and continuously reach target communities. Teamwork activities also strengthened the network of Thanyarak club leaders across universities, creating spaces for representatives to exchange community campaign experiences and receive guidance for further development from Dr. Chontit Urairuekkul, former advisor at the Department of Health, enhancing practical perspectives to improve local campaign effectiveness.
Beyond intensive knowledge and activities, Thanyarak Camp 2025 aims to develop "community change leaders." Those trained continue to expand their knowledge locally, enabling over 38 communities nationwide to perform breast self-examination for early abnormality screening. "Creating one leader means changing hundreds of lives in the community." This camp is not merely a training event but a continuation of the breast cancer eradication mission powered genuinely by youth, striving to ensure all Thai women have equal access to knowledge and prevention, working together to build a safer and more sustainable society in the long term.
