
The First Army summarized the border situation on the Sa Kaeo province side, reporting two soldiers killed. They are currently executing a strategy to seize the areas of Ban Khlong Phaeng and Ban Nong Jan, while Cambodia continues to launch BM-21 rockets and artillery fire continuously and has not cooperated in releasing Thai nationals to return home.
On 11 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the First Army Operations Center provided an update on the Thai-Cambodian border situation in Sa Kaeo province as of 20:00 hrs. The Burapha Task Force has been conducting operations to defend sovereignty amid the ongoing Thai-Cambodian conflict, now in its fourth day, with the following key activities:
Area of Ban Khlong Phaeng, Ta Phraya District: Currently implementing a strategy to seize the area, while Cambodian forces continuously bombard our side using BM-21 rocket launchers, artillery, and grenade launchers.
Area of Ban Nong Ya Kaew, Khok Sung District: The area has been secured since 8 Dec 2025 GMT+7, with forces positioned defensively along the claimed border. Cambodian forces continue sustained fire against us with approximately 40 BM-21 rockets, artillery, and grenade launchers.
Area of Ban Nong Jan, Khok Sung District: Currently executing a strategy to seize the area, with Cambodia persistently firing BM-21 rockets, artillery, and grenade launchers at our forces.
Area of Ban Khlong Luek, Aranyaprathet District: Forces are deployed to protect the area. Additionally, at the permanent checkpoint of Ban Khlong Luek, Aranyaprathet District, Thai authorities have prepared to open the checkpoint to receive Thai nationals returning from Poipet, Cambodia. The incoming individuals will undergo intake procedures and screening. Immigration officers along with relevant agencies will conduct document verification and legal entry-exit checks. However, to date, Cambodian authorities have not cooperated in releasing Thais to return, and negotiations between both sides are ongoing.
Area of Khlong Hat District: Forces are deployed to protect the area.
Regarding personnel casualties from the ongoing situation, originally 14 were injured. Additional casualties have occurred, with two fatalities and 20 injured. In total, from 8 Dec 2025 GMT+7 to the present, 34 personnel have been injured and two killed.
The First Army affirms it will steadfastly carry out its mission to the fullest extent. Military operations will proceed under rules of engagement and the right to self-defense until threats in the Sa Kaeo border area cease, prioritizing Thailand's sovereignty and the safety of its people.
