21st Military Circle Appoints Mother of Fallen Soldier Private Yanphat to Replace Him in Service

The "Army" has approved the "21st Military Circle" to appoint the mother of the brave soldier "Private Yanphat" to take over the official service and has already begun duties.

FacebookSecond Army Regionposted a message stating, "The family member of a brave soldier, a hero at the border, has been appointed to replace him in service following the clashes in the Thai-Cambodian border area from 24-28 July.

Private Yanphat Khotsakha, a conscript serving in the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, died in the line of duty protecting the country. His sacrifice preserved sovereignty, order, and the safety of Thai citizens. His courageous service is a testament to loyalty and great honor.

According to Army regulations, families of those who sacrifice for the nation receive care. A key provision is appointing a relative of the deceased to official service, helping alleviate hardship, providing job security for the family, and honoring the deceased as a defender of the land.

Therefore, the Army approved the 21st Military Circle to appoint Mrs. Sopa Khotsakha (mother of the brave soldier) as a civilian defense officer below commissioned rank, in the position of typist at the Supply and Maintenance Division, 21st Military Circle (Sergeant rank). She reported for duty starting 9 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at the 21st Military Circle Command, with Major General Pongkrit Rujiyothin, Commander of the 21st Military Circle, receiving the report.

We commend the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for the nation and recognize this as an important mechanism to support the families of the fallen, enabling them to live with stability. It also reflects the Army's care for its personnel. The appointment of a relative of a fallen soldier from combat confirms that the honor of the brave will be upheld forever."
