Big Kung Visits Ubon Ratchathani to Support Evacuees, Vows Government Will Care for People Until Situation Improves

"Big Kung" visited Ubon Ratchathani to encourage evacuees, pledging that the government will not abandon the people and will care for them until the situation improves.

At 4:00 p.m. on 12 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Lieutenant General Boonsin Padklang, former commander of the 2nd Army Region, along with his team, visited a temporary evacuation center in Ubon Ratchathani to support those affected by unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border. They joined evacuees in singing the Thai national anthem to boost morale and foster unity during this crisis.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Boonsin personally met with victims, informally discussing their living conditions and needs. He emphasized that all agencies are fully coordinating efforts to ensure safety, shelter, food, drinking water, medical care, and facilities are provided to assist the evacuees as comprehensively as possible.

Lieutenant General Boonsin expressed special concern for the evacuees, stating, "Please be assured that the government will not abandon you. We will care for the people until the situation is resolved and everyone can safely return home." He also proposed organizing care systems for the elderly, young children, and vulnerable groups within the shelter to ensure their utmost safety.

The atmosphere during the visit was warm and supportive. Evacuees at the center felt encouraged and reassured by the close attention from all sectors, especially during the joint singing of the national anthem, which inspired courage and a sense of unity amid the crisis.
