Tensions at Hill 677 Chong An Ma have been high since early morning, with ongoing clashes before Thai soldiers were hit by shell shrapnel, resulting in 4 fatalities and 3 injuries.

On 13 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters covered the border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia after Cambodian forces launched an attack on Thai positions on 7 Dec 2025 GMT+7 near Phu Pha Lek - Phlan Hin Pad Kon in Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province. The situation escalated into multiple clashes across several areas, causing several Thai soldiers to be wounded or killed.

Another hotspot is Hill 677 at Chong An Ma, a key point of engagement. Yesterday (12 Dec), strategic units cleared the area, firmly planting the Thai flag and securing full control of Hill 677, maintaining continuous troop deployments along the front line.

Latest reports indicate that at Hill 677 Chong An Ma, Ubon Ratchathani Province, tensions remain high and clashes have intensified since morning as Cambodian forces attempt to retake the hill. Several artillery rounds were fired, with Thai artillery providing continuous support fire.

Additionally, reports confirm that Thai soldiers were struck by shell shrapnel, leading to 4 fatalities and 3 injuries. The deceased are identified as Sergeant Major Damrongkiet Kaewkrajang, Sergeant Major Tawirat Rattanaburi, Private Mustakim Jema, and another private soldier.

The three wounded soldiers are Private Chokchai Niamsaeng, Sergeant Specialist Napun Jandadang, and Private Kalit Mudkhahem.
