
An accident occurred on Phetkasem Road in Ratchaburi Province where a sedan struck horses, killing two and injuring three. The car was damaged, and a dashcam from another vehicle captured the incident.
At 10:30 on 13 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Police Lieutenant Sanoh Thep-ard, the duty officer at Bang Phae Police Station, Ratchaburi, was notified of a sedan-horse collision on Phetkasem Road, Moo 1, Wang Yen Subdistrict, Bang Phae District. After receiving the report, he informed Police Colonel Sommat Chantrat, the station chief, before proceeding to the scene with Ratchaburi Ruamjai Foundation rescue staff.
At the scene, two dead horses were found in the middle of the road, with three others injured. A bronze Honda City sedan with Bangkok license plates was also present, its front severely damaged. The car owner, 66-year-old Mr. Tharat Chairat, was waiting anxiously for officials.
Later, 40-year-old Mrs. Suwichaya Noikamsin from Bang Phae District, the owner of the local horse stable, came forward to claim ownership of the horses that died and were injured. Authorities recorded the statement and allowed the deceased horses to be taken away, while the injured were to be treated by the owner. Mrs. Suwichaya will be summoned later for further questioning.
Mr. Tharat explained that while driving into Ratchaburi city, a group of horses suddenly emerged from the roadside and ran abruptly in front of his car at close range. He was unable to brake in time, striking the horses violently, causing some to be thrown and killed or injured. The car sustained damage.
Meanwhile, a video clip has been shared on social media by a Facebook user. " Job Aya Yoe " who posted dashcam footage showing the moment horses ran across the front of the sedan, causing multiple horses to be hit and thrown. Authorities will use this footage as evidence.
