On 13 December 2025, at 18:00 GMT+7, the Second Army Operations Center summarized the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border. Since 08:00 GMT+7 that day, tensions remain high. Cambodia has employed artillery, suicide drones, and BM-21 rockets, along with infiltration attempts and reinforcements in some areas. Thai forces maintain control of original positions, have captured additional areas, and have effectively counterattacked.
At 08:30 GMT+7, Cambodian forces fired BM-21 rockets into civilian homes in Saothongchai Subdistrict, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province. This attack injured 10 innocent civilians, including one critically wounded. The Second Army strongly condemns Cambodia's inhumane actions.
In today’s key operations, Thai forces secured control of Hill 677, Chong Proe, Chong Rayi, Chong Plot Tang, and Sam Tae areas, reinforcing security at these locations.
At Chong Kana, Thai forces fully secured all four designated points as planned, using explosives to destroy upper stairways. Cambodian forces responded with BM-21 rockets and suicide drones against Thai positions. Both sides remain engaged around the stairway area.
In the Ta Kwai Castle area, Cambodian forces launched heavy attacks against Thai troops using artillery, BM-21 rockets, and suicide drones. Thai forces responded with indirect fire weapons and bombers. The situation is ongoing and fighting continues.
For safety, residents in the area are urged to temporarily refrain from returning home and to remain in temporary shelters. They are advised to strictly follow officials’ instructions.
