Tribute to a hero from the southern border, Volunteer Mustakim Majema, who sacrificed his life in a fierce clash on Hill 677, Chong An Ma. He traveled over a thousand kilometers from his hometown in Narathiwat province to defend sovereignty, enlisting to serve the nation because he wanted to ease his mother's burden.

On 13 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reports confirmed that the situation at Hill 677, Chong An Ma, Ubon Ratchathani province, remained tense and violent since early morning. Cambodian forces attempted to seize Hill 677, prompting several artillery shots. Recently, the Facebook pagePublic Relations Office of Narathiwat Provinceposted a tribute to one of the fallen soldiers, a son of Narathiwat, stating that Volunteer Mustakim Majema, age 21, anti-tank weapon gunner of the Assault Battalion, sacrificed his life protecting Thai sovereignty during combat at Hill 677, Chong An Ma, Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani province.

He traveled over a thousand kilometers from his hometown to fulfill the great duty of defending Thailand's land. A hero from the southern border to the Thai-Cambodian border, a brave soldier of Thailand.

Volunteer Mustakim Majema was born on 3 May 2004 and enlisted on 1 Nov 2023 as an anti-tank weapon gunner in the Assault Battalion. He was from Dusongyo subdistrict, Chanae district, Narathiwat province. Mustakim came from a true military lineage, with his mother serving as a female soldier currently stationed in Saraburi province. He deeply loved and worried about his mother. His reason for enlisting was to serve the nation and to help ease his mother's burden.

The funeral for Volunteer Mustakim Majema is scheduled at Kubosabuerang (Ban Sukha), Moo 3, Dusongyo subdistrict, Chanae district, Narathiwat province.
