Urgent: Navy Announces Curfew in 5 Districts of Trat Province, Ban on Leaving Home from 7 PM to 5 AM Starting Today

The Navy has announced a curfew banning residents from leaving their homes between 7 PM and 5 AM in Mueang Trat, Khlong Yai, Bo Rai, Khao Saming, and Laem Ngop districts, excluding Koh Chang and Koh Kood districts, effective today (14 Dec).

Update on the Thai-Cambodian border situation: On 14 December 2025, Rear Admiral Parach Rattanachaiphan, Navy spokesperson, explained that the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Command (CDBDC) informs the public that due to security concerns in Trat's border areas, it is necessary to elevate security measures to prevent espionage, sabotage, and any acts that could disrupt public order, safety, and national security.

Accordingly, the CDBDC has issued a curfew order prohibiting people from leaving their residences from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM in Trat Province, covering Khlong Yai, Bo Rai, Laem Ngop, Khao Saming, and Mueang Trat districts, excluding Koh Chang and Koh Kood districts.

This action is taken under the authority of the Martial Law Act of 1914, aimed at controlling the security situation preventively and ensuring overall safety. It is not intended to unduly restrict citizens' rights and freedoms.

The Navy confirms that the enforcement of this measure will be conducted appropriately and carefully, based on necessity and proportionality, taking into account residents’ livelihoods, occupations, and well-being to minimize impact. In urgent cases, residents may request permission from military personnel, local administrative officials, or authorized officers according to established procedures.

The Navy requests public cooperation in strictly following these measures and urges people to obtain information primarily from official government sources to avoid confusion or misinformation. The situation will be continuously assessed and adjustments made as necessary according to the evolving circumstances.

The Navy reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the nation's sovereignty, security, and safety, standing firmly alongside and fully protecting the residents in the affected areas.
