
The Northeastern Savings Cooperative Union held its 2025 Annual General Meeting, presided over by Mr. Weeraphong Thongpha, President of the Mukdahan Provincial Administrative Organization and director of the Cooperative Savings Union of Thailand Limited.
On 14 December 2025 at the meeting room of Estawan Hotel in Maha Sarakham Province, the Northeastern Savings Cooperative Union Limited held its 2025 Annual General Meeting. Mr. Weeraphong Thongpha, President of the Mukdahan Provincial Administrative Organization and director of the Cooperative Savings Union of Thailand Limited, presided over the ceremony. Attending were the executive committee, advisors, subcommittees, representatives from the Maha Sarakham Provincial Cooperative Office, the provincial audit office, auditors, member cooperative representatives, and staff of the Northeastern Savings Cooperative Union Limited.
The 2025 Annual General Meeting followed the agenda. This year, the union comprises 72 cooperatives. The Northeastern Savings Cooperative Union Limited serves as the financial and business center for these cooperatives and their members. Having operated for nearly three years, it has shown significant progress and stability, resulting from cooperation, unity, mutual assistance, and adherence to the ideals of its cooperative members.
Dr. Kamol Srilom, Chairman of the Northeastern Savings Cooperative Union Limited, stated that the current executive committee, the third term, consists of 15 members, one acting manager, and three staff members. Additionally, two staff from the Maha Sarakham Teachers’ Savings Cooperative were assigned to assist the union’s operations. There are 72 member cooperatives with combined assets and operating capital totaling 10 billion baht as of 31 October 2025. The union reported a net profit of 17 million baht this year and distributed dividends averaging 5.3 percent to members.
The Northeastern Savings Cooperative Union Limited is a financial institution formed by the union of member cooperatives, aiming to promote the economic and social benefits of its members through mutual self-help and cooperation according to cooperative principles. There are a total of 180 savings cooperatives in the Northeast region with assets exceeding 100 billion baht. The union strives to enable these cooperatives—including teachers’, police, and public health savings cooperatives—to enjoy well-being and low-interest rates.
