Update on the Thai-Cambodian border situation: On 14 Dec 2025, the 2nd Army Region Operations Center summarized the border situation as of 14 Dec 2025 09:00 GMT+7.

From 18:00 onwards until this morning, tensions along the border have remained continuous with clashes throughout the night. Cambodia has increased its military force by reinforcing artillery and BM-21 rockets in several locations, along with ongoing detection of UAVs and FPV drones.

Our side has responded proactively according to plan, aiming to destroy Cambodia's military capabilities at key points. We have managed to control the situation, and most of our personnel remain safe. Important incidents include the following.

In the Chong Khan Ma, Phra Viharn, and Tamaria areas of Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province: Cambodia reinforced its forces and attacked our side with supporting fire weapons, artillery, and BM-21 rockets. Our forces fired artillery to destroy targets and successfully destroyed one Cambodian truck.

In the Chong Kana area, Kabin Buri District, Surin Province: Cambodia attacked our forces with supporting fire weapons, artillery, BM-21 rockets, and unmanned aerial vehicles, including bomb-dropping and FPV drones. We have strengthened security in the area and continue to operate according to plan.

In the Prasat Ta Kwai area, Kabin Buri District, Surin Province: Cambodia attacked our forces with firearms. We returned fire accordingly and used automatic grenade launchers (AGL) to destroy Cambodian Battalion 1 Company Command Post 444, severely damaging their ammunition depot. Our forces suffered no damage and personnel remain safe.

In the Prasat Ta Meuan area, Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province: Cambodia used snipers, artillery, and BM-21 rockets to fire into our territory. We have maintained positions throughout the deployment area and responded as the situation required.

The 2nd Army Region reaffirms that it is closely monitoring the situation and fully committed to protecting sovereignty and public safety. The public is urged to follow official information and trust in the security forces’ operations.
