Second Army Area Command Tightens Control at Chong Mek Checkpoint, Halts Export of Fuel and Military Equipment Effective Midnight

The Second Army Area Operations Center has ordered strict control at Chong Mek checkpoint to suspend exports of all types of fuel and military equipment effective midnight on 14 December 2025


On 14 Dec 2025, the Second Army Area Operations Center issued an order to control the export of all types of fuel, as well as military equipment and related items, at the permanent border crossing point of Chong Mek, Chong Mek Subdistrict, Sirindhorn District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The export suspension applies specifically to all fuel types and various military equipment, while other procedures remain subject to existing rules and conditions.

This order takes effect from 24:00 on 14 December 2025 onward and will remain in force until further notice.

The purpose of this measure is to maintain security and public order in line with the ongoing conflict situation in the border area, prioritizing national interests. Authorities will closely monitor and assess the situation to appropriately adjust operations as needed.
