At 20:50 on 14 Dec 2025, following reports in the media and social networks about the attack on the Trat Marine Task Force Headquarters (Trat MTF), Rear Admiral Parach Rattanachaiyaphan, Navy spokesperson, informed the public that the incident is true. It was carried out by opposing forces who infiltrated Trat Province and attempted sabotage of key military and government sites to create unrest in the border area.
The Chanthaburi-Trat Border Defense Command (CTBDC) has implemented strict and careful security measures to prevent such incidents from recurring. These include enforcing a curfew in certain areas during specified times, establishing checkpoints and security posts at key locations, and tightening security around military installations and surrounding areas.
