The Burapha Task Force is conducting sovereignty defense operations amid the Thai-Cambodian conflict on its eighth day, with ongoing clashes for territory control and key operations as follows.
Area of Ban Khlong Phaeng, Ta Phraya DistrictOur side has implemented strategies and used supporting fire weapons to control the open terrain area, while Cambodian forces have continuously countered with BM-21 rockets, artillery, and grenade launchers.
Area of Ban Nong Ya Kaeo, Khok Sung DistrictOur forces have seized territory along the claimed boundary and used supporting fire to prevent reinforcement by Cambodian troops, who continue to resist with BM-21 rockets, artillery, and grenade launchers.
Area of Ban Nong Chan, Khok Sung DistrictOur side has applied strategy and supporting fire weapons to control the area, with Cambodian forces countering continuously using BM-21 rockets, artillery, and grenade launchers.
Key operation: The Burapha Task Force deployed unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to bomb and destroy Cambodian supporting fire weapon positions opposite Ban Nong Chan, targeting one site.
Additionally, the Royal Thai Air Force supported the military operation by conducting airstrikes with F-16 jets, destroying two Cambodian military targets—weapon and ammunition depots—located opposite the Burapha Task Force’s area of responsibility: Ban Thom Ochen opposite Khok Sung District, and Phra Neth Phra area in Banteay Meanchey Province.
Regarding preparations to repatriate Thais from Poipet, Cambodia, through the permanent crossing point at Ban Khlong Luek, Aranyaprathet District, Cambodia continues to refuse release of Thai nationals for the fifth consecutive day.
Regarding personnel injured during the conflict, two additional injuries were reported today. Since 8 Dec 2025, there have been 52 injured and 3 deaths. Residents in the border areas of four districts in Sa Kaeo Province are being cared for in 44 temporary shelters across five locations, housing a total of 21,575 people, established by Sa Kaeo provincial authorities and relevant agencies.
The First Army Area reaffirms its commitment to fully carry out its mission. Military operations will proceed under rules of engagement and the right to self-defense until the threats in Sa Kaeo border areas end, prioritizing Thailand’s sovereignty and the safety of its people.
