"2nd Army Region" announces loss of "brave soldiers" 2 more soldiers lost in clash near Prasat Ta Kwai, with full support provided for the families' rights and welfare.
On 16 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the Facebook pageof the 2nd Army Regionposted a statement saying, "The 2nd Army Region would like to inform that during military operations along the Prasat Ta Kwai–Hill 350–Hill 225 frontline, our forces have taken control of the area around Prasat Ta Kwai and have continuously established security in the surrounding areas. Tactical defensive measures have been implemented to enhance the security and safety of our personnel.
At the same time, our forces remain stationed at Hill 225 to control a key strategic route and prevent reinforcements from the opposing side. Throughout this period, there have been intermittent clashes and supporting fire exchanges, resulting in ongoing operations and assessments in the area.
In the evening of the same day, a clash occurred in front of Prasat Ta Kwai due to the opponent's attempt to advance into the area. Our forces acted according to operational plans, using appropriate force to suppress and control the situation. Supporting fire was used to secure the area, control routes, and prevent reinforcements and supporting weaponry from the opposing side.
Operations continue under close command and control to maintain area security and ensure the safety of our personnel as a top priority.
The 2nd Army Region deeply regrets the loss of personnel in the line of duty: Staff Sergeant Samrerng Khlangprakorn and Private Phanupat Sao Sa, who served with dedication and bravery. The 2nd Army Region will provide full rights and welfare support to the families of the deceased.
