Trat Naval Task Force Confirms Complete Control of Border, Cambodian Forces Neutralized Without Retaliation

The commander of the Trat Naval Task Force confirmed full control over the Trat border, having neutralized Cambodian forces completely without any counterattacks. He assured the people of Trat that everyone will be able to return home soon.

Updates on the Thailand-Cambodia border situation: On 17 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters stated that the border situation in Trat province has entered its 9th day under the operation. “Trat Suppresses the Opponent” This afternoon, gunfire continued as forces cleared target areas according to the planned operation.

Regarding this, reporters asked Commander Thananuan Wanna of the Trat Naval Task Force (commander of the Trat Naval Task Force), who said that Thai troops have now neutralized Cambodian forces completely, with no retaliation against Thai forces after the Navy and Air Force conducted intensive military operations for 8 days to reclaim three houses from Cambodian control.
