"Thai Honda" partners with "Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)" to elevate road safety toward Zero Accidents, accompanied by the donation of "helmets" 16,500 units to conclude the caravan on the occasion of the 60th anniversary.
On 17 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Thai Honda, the manufacturer and distributor of Honda motorcycles and multi-purpose engines in Thailand, continued its commitment to Thai society on its 60th anniversary through a nationwide road safety campaign. "60 Years of Thai Honda: Safe Riding for a Sustainable Thai Society" Recently, the Thai Honda helmet caravan completed its mission at Bangkok City Hall to help raise road safety standards in the capital. Dr. Arakorn Pornprapha, Chairman of Thai Honda Co., Ltd., handed over the helmets, with Governor Chadchart Sittipunt of Bangkok graciously accepting and supporting the project.
The ceremony marked the conclusion of the helmet delivery caravan for Thai Honda's 60th anniversary, which traveled to all 77 provinces nationwide to distribute helmets to youth and citizens, ending its journey in Bangkok. On this occasion, Thai Honda donated 16,500 Thai Industrial Standards (TIS) certified helmets to Bangkok to support improved road safety in the capital.
Throughout the project, Thai Honda and its dealers have distributed a total of 112,440 helmets worth over 112 million baht across the country to reduce accident risks and promote helmet-wearing culture in Thai society in a tangible way.
Dr. Arakorn Pornprapha, Chairman of Thai Honda Co., Ltd., stated that the 60th Anniversary Helmet Caravan reflects Thai Honda's intention to give back to Thai society by promoting road safety. Bangkok, as the final province on the journey, symbolizes the collaborative strength of all sectors—government, education, and private—to continuously foster a culture of safety in Thai society.
Mr. Hayato Sekiguchi, Vice Chairman of Thai Honda Co., Ltd., said that on the occasion of Thai Honda's 60th anniversary, the company launched the "60 Years of Thai Honda: Safe Riding for a Sustainable Thai Society" campaign, intending to distribute 60,000 helmets. Motorcycle dealers nationwide contributed an additional 52,440 helmets, totaling 112,440 helmets delivered across all 77 provinces.
Regarding the donation of 16,500 helmets to Bangkok this time, Thai Honda hopes to help instill a culture of helmet wearing and support government agencies and educational institutions in promoting daily motorcycle safety in a practical manner.
Governor Chadchart Sittipunt of Bangkok said the city has consistently prioritized road safety, especially for motorcyclists. The support from Thai Honda through helmet donations will strengthen efforts by government agencies and schools to raise awareness and encourage routine helmet use. Such public-private collaboration is a crucial force in enhancing road safety and building a safer urban community.
