Latest update on the area "An Ma Market" after the military cleared the site, finding it completely empty with no sign of activity from "Cambodian soldiers."
On 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters observed that after soldiers thoroughly cleared the An Ma Market area this morning, there was no trace of the market, housing, or community of An Ma Channel. The Provincial Police Border Patrol base and artillery base in Preah Vihear Province were completely destroyed.
In Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, Village Security Volunteers (Chor Ror Bor) continue to maintain checkpoints to strictly screen unauthorized persons and suspicious outsiders. They also assist with traffic control for military personnel in the area. Security and administrative authorities have not yet allowed residents to return despite the 100% recapture of Hill 677 and An Ma Channel.
Mr. Amnat Lunbuddha, 55, village head of Non Saeng Phet, said the situation remains unstable with intermittent artillery exchanges between both sides. Compared to two to three days ago, clashes have somewhat decreased. However, vigilance is still necessary, and local residents cannot return until authorities or the military announce it.
