Khao Kheow Open Zoo invites the public to vote on a name for its newest member, a male giant anteater, with the results to be announced on 29 Dec 2025 GMT+7.
On 18 Dec 2025 at Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, Mr. Narongwit Chodchoi, the zoo's director, revealed that on 21 Oct 2025, the zoo introduced its newest member, a male giant anteater born to mother Wilson, aged 19, and father San Diego, aged 20. The anteater is currently in good health but has not yet been named.
Khao Kheow Open Zoo is inviting visitors and the general public to participate in naming the male giant anteater by voting among these five names: Sea Games, Sky, Sydney, Kopkap. Voters also have a chance to win one of ten desk calendars featuring crispy pork. The zoo will draw the name receiving the most votes as the winner. Ten lucky voters will be selected by lottery to receive the crispy pork desk calendar prizes. The official announcement of the results and winners will be made on 29 Dec 2025 via the Facebook page: Khao Kheow Open Zoo.
