Myanmar Authorities Continue Explosions at KK Park, Shaking Roofs of Thai Houses

This morning, four explosions Myanmar authorities continued to detonate KK Park repeatedly, causing the roofs of Thai houses to shake despite the blasts being far from the border.

At 6:30 a.m. on 19 Dec 2025, reporters noted that explosions from fighting near Min La Pan village, opposite Ban Mae Kon Ken in Mae Sot District, Tak Province, were heard this morning, with four consecutive blasts shaking the roofs of Thai homes.

Additionally, Myanmar authorities, together with Karen BGF soldiers, demolished an online scammer office building at KK Park, Myawaddy District, Karen State, Myanmar, opposite Ban Mae Ku Mai Tha Sung, Village No. 9, Mae Ku Subdistrict, Mae Sot District, Tak Province. Yesterday (18 Dec), two explosions occurred but were deeper inside, reducing the impact on the Thai community at Ban Mae Ku Mai Tha Sung. No debris or bomb fragments crossed into Thai territory as had happened over the past two months, which had caused significant distress to Thai residents.

A local agricultural goods shop owner reported damage from the explosions, including a collapsed shop ceiling. They have yet to receive government aid, although the Mae Ku Subdistrict Administrative Organization has collected data. Repairs have not progressed due to ongoing explosions and concerns over further damage. Despite the blasts being further from the border, noise effects continue, causing the shop's metal roof to vibrate.
