“Nong Forgus” Fights in the Ring to Support Nine Sick Family Members, Enduring Pain for Her Family

"Nong Forgus," a little fighter with an unyielding spirit, never gives up. She boxes to support nine lives in a household full of the sick, enduring pain to exchange for a new life for her family. She reveals she never fears injury because every ring she competes in means extending the lives of her family members by another day.

"Nong Forgus," a 12-year-old girl from Bangkok. This young girl lives in a household with nine family members who are ill. Her 78-year-old grandmother was bedridden, suffering from a heart defect, diabetes, kidney disease, and was unable to walk after being run over by a ten-wheeler truck in the past; she also had memory loss. The grandmother passed away just days before the show. Her 68-year-old grandfather suffers from hepatitis B virus. Her mother has asthma and allergies. She also has siblings: Mai with a leg disability from being hit by a car; Fern and Fin, who suffer from mental illness; plus two young nieces, Mina and Valen. With many sick family members, her mother quit her regular job to care for them all. Nong Forgus, being the healthiest, became the family's main provider, earning money to care for her ailing grandmother and everyone else. She livestreams selling crispy noodles and sometimes collects bottles with Fern to earn extra income. The money earned goes toward travel costs for doctor visits, medication for family members, and milk for the two young nieces. Despite these efforts, the income is insufficient, and some days they must ask the temple for food.

During times when the family had to go hungry, the children still had to attend school, but the mother felt helpless, which caused her severe stress and led her to nearly jump off a bridge to end her life. Fortunately, Nong Forgus arrived in time to comfort her mother and urged her to keep fighting together. This support helped her mother regain her composure. Seeing an opening at a boxing camp that was recruiting female fighters, Nong Forgus decided to try out. She wanted to earn money to treat her bedridden grandmother, help her mother ease the family’s burden, and also pursued her passion for boxing. She eventually became a boxer at the camp. Despite returning home with injuries and wounds, Nong Forgus never gave up because she loves the sport and fights to provide for her family’s needs. Today, she is fighting to earn a new wheelchair for Fern to use in collecting recyclables to generate extra income, and to improve their living conditions. The show also surprised her with support from her boxing idol, Stamp Fairtex, who gifted her gloves, boxing shorts, a signed autograph, and a video message of encouragement. This brought a smile back to Nong Forgus's face.

"A small, brave fighter with a big heart." We want to honor the goodness and talent of Nong Forgus, who came to the show empty-handed but with a little fighting heart determined to achieve her dreams and provide a new life for her family. Stay tuned to watch. "A small, brave fighter with a big heart." Airing Sunday, 21 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at 18:00 on Thairath TV Channel 32.
