Another Batch of Grey Chinese Gang Sent Back from K.K. Park and Chwe Gok Go Towns Totaling 937 People Over 4 Days

Another batch of the "Grey Chinese Gang" from K.K. Park and Chwe Gok Go towns has been sent back over four days totaling 937 people. Meanwhile, 13 ringleaders who caused a riot in the Tak immigration detention room have been prosecuted after being sent to court, with plans to deport them again in early 2026.

At 14:00 on 19 December 2025, reporters at Mae Sot International Airport in Tak province, along the Thailand-Myanmar border, reported the deportation of the Grey Chinese group from K.K. Park and Chwe Gok Go towns in Kayin State, Myawaddy district, Myanmar. This followed a trilateral meeting among the three countries to coordinate the deportation from 16 to 19 December, totaling 937 people across 19 flights.

Officials from Mae Sot district administration, the Ratchamanu Task Force, Tak immigration police, and Mae Sot police escorted Chinese nationals from the Second Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge area at Ban Wang Takian Tai, Village No. 7, Tha Sai Luat subdistrict, Mae Sot district, Tak province, to Mae Sot International Airport. The Chinese authorities provided charter flights operated by China Southern Airlines, each carrying 50 passengers back to China.

On the first day, 16 December 2025, there were 2 flights with 50 passengers each, totaling 100 people. On the second day, 17 December, 6 flights carried 50 passengers each, totaling 300 people. The third day, 18 December, also had 6 flights with 50 passengers each, again totaling 300 people. On the final day, 19 December, the number decreased to 5 flights with 50 passengers each, but the last flight had only 37 people returning to China.

Pol. Col. Chinkorn Aswapoom, director of Tak Immigration Office in Mae Sot, explained that the last flight's 37 passengers were 13 fewer than expected because those 13 were ringleaders who incited a riot in the Tak immigration detention room. After the 346 Border Patrol Police Company and immigration detention center intervened, all 15 ringleaders were taken into custody and have been prosecuted in court.

Among these 15 individuals, only 2 had valid passports and thus were able to travel back to their home country in this round. The remaining 13 must await identity confirmation and biometric verification from their home country before they can be deported, which is expected to occur in the next round in early 2026.
