Adorable Wild Boar and Tiger Family Captured on Camera Trap at Namtok Phacharoen National Park

A charming video shows a wild boar and tiger family walking past a wildlife camera trap in Namtok Phacharoen National Park, Tak Province, highlighting the forest's abundant natural resources and health.

The Facebook page "Namtok Phacharoen National Park" shared a video capturing the adorable family of wild boar piglets and tigers, reflecting the thriving condition of the protected area within Namtok Phacharoen National Park.

The tiger featured in the video was found in a remote area far from human settlements, as the park's jurisdiction covers a vast region extending to the boundary with a wildlife sanctuary, allowing wild animals to move freely and appear comfortably in front of the cameras.

On 19 Dec 2025, a reporter contacted Mr. Prawit Yotharat, a senior forestry officer and head of Namtok Phacharoen National Park, who explained that the large tiger captured on camera was seen patrolling for prey at around 7:00 pm on 18 Dec 2025. Later that same night, at approximately 8:00 pm, a group of five wild boars was recorded walking in the opposite direction, led by a large mother boar followed by her piglets in descending size order.

Park officials at Namtok Phacharoen National Park, located in Phop Phra District, Tak Province, installed wildlife camera traps to monitor and survey species in the area. The park received support from WWF (Thailand) for the camera equipment. The location where the tiger and wild boars were spotted lies at the forest boundary between Namtok Phacharoen National Park (proposed) and Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary, representing one of Thailand's most well-preserved forest ecosystems.

Thanks to Namtok Phacharoen National Park for the video footage.
