On 19 December 2025 GMT+7, the First Army Region Operations Center summarized the Thai-Cambodian border situation in Sa Kaeo Province at 18:00. The Burapha Task Force has been tasked with defending sovereignty amid the Thai-Cambodian conflict for 12 days, with clashes occurring to seize control in three locations.
1. Ban Khlong Phaeng area, Ta Phraya District: Cambodian forces are accelerating the strengthening of their fortifications and have deployed additional artillery and grenade launchers at two locations in preparation to fire, aiming to create supportive conditions for their operations.
2. Ban Nong Ya Kaeo area, Khok Sung District: Cambodian forces are reinforcing their strongholds, using artillery and grenade launchers to attack our positions, and increasing their manpower, likely preparing to implement strategic operations to seize the area.
3. Ban Nong Chan area, Khok Sung District: Cambodian forces have been continuously firing artillery and grenade launchers at our positions. They are also transporting supplies, weapons, and ammunition into various fortifications, which are expected to be held and strengthened for 2-3 days.
For residents in the border areas of four districts in Sa Kaeo Province, the provincial authorities in collaboration with relevant agencies have opened 41 temporary shelters. Currently, 18,874 people are housed, receiving support and morale boosting from various sectors. This has helped maintain the people's spirit and encouraged support for soldiers defending sovereignty and safety.
