AOT denies Cambodian media distortion, affirming no passenger luggage has been lost and focusing on facilitating services alongside maintaining security according to international standards.
On 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the Facebook page "AOT Official" posted a statement saying AOT refutes Cambodian media's distorted reports, confirming no lost luggage and that passenger services comply with international standards.
Following a report by Cambodian media on 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7 claiming that the Cambodian Embassy in France issued a travel warning regarding transit at Bangkok airport (Thailand), alleging European transit passengers faced overly strict and inappropriate screening—such as prolonged questioning before boarding, unreasonable requests for proof of financial status, detailed inspections of accommodation bookings in Cambodia, and reports of lost passenger luggage—Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) affirms these claims are untrue.
AOT is committed to passenger service and care, emphasizing facilitation alongside security per international standards. It employs baggage tracking and complaint systems to ensure passengers have a smooth, fair, and efficient travel experience. As the Gateway to Thailand, AOT is ready to cooperate with domestic and international agencies to promote accurate understanding and strengthen confidence in Thailand's international air travel system.
AOT confirms that all six airports under its management operate according to established security regulations and procedures for departing passengers and their baggage, having undergone inspections per international aviation standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for both Safety and Security. These measures genuinely comply with global standards to serve all passengers.
