"Marine soldiers" retake the area "Ban Tha Sen – Casino Tamoda" in Trat Province successfully, along with seizing military weapons and equipment "Cambodian soldiers" in a certain quantity
At 15:30 on 20 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Rear Admiral Paratch Rattanachaiyan, Navy spokesperson, revealed that the Navy, through the Joint Task Force in Trat, conducted an operation to control and retake the Ban Tha Sen area, Chamrak Subdistrict, Mueang Trat District, including the Casino Tamoda building area. This followed the discovery that Cambodian military forces had secretly established a base there.
The operation found that the Cambodian side used the casino building as a command post, reinforced by additional personnel including snipers, area control points, and a unit for drone (unmanned aerial vehicle) control and countermeasures. They also fortified strongholds around the area. This action affected Thailand's security and sovereignty. The Marines coordinated closely with the Air Force under a careful operational plan prioritizing the safety of personnel and civilians.
As a result, the situation was fully controlled and the target area completely secured without any civilian casualties. The Thai side suffered no personnel losses or injuries and seized some enemy weapons and equipment, which are currently being inspected and collected as evidence following military and legal procedures.
