On 20 December 2025 GMT+7, it was reported that Air Chief Marshal Satitpong Sukvimol, the Royal Secretary to His Majesty the King, sent a letter to the director of Somdet Phra Pinklao Hospital, Naval Medical Department, informing that His Majesty the King has graciously accepted Associate Professor Dr. Seri Wongmonta, aged 76, who is ill with a brain tumor, to receive medical treatment at Somdet Phra Pinklao Hospital, Naval Medical Department, Thonburi District, Bangkok, as a patient under royal patronage.
Associate Professor Dr. Seri Wongmonta is an independent media professional and former chairman of the National Reform Committee on Mass Communication, Information Technology under the government of General Prayut Chan-o-cha. Besides his significant academic roles in communication, advertising, and public relations, he is also renowned as a speaker, lecturer, master of ceremonies, and occasionally as an actor in films, television dramas, or stage plays.
