On the 13th Day of Clashes, Cambodia Continues Reinforcing Strongholds, Periodically Shelling Thailand

The 1st Army Region summarized the border situation in Sa Kaeo Province on the 13th day of fighting. The Cambodian side continues to reinforce their strongholds, periodically firing artillery and mortars at Thai forces. In the "Ban Nong Ya Kaeo" area, additional forces have been deployed in preparation to carry out strategic operations.

On 20 December 2025, the 1st Army Region Operations Center summarized the Thai-Cambodian border situation in Sa Kaeo Province for the day, at 18:00.

The Burapha Task Force has been carrying out sovereignty defense operations amid the Thai-Cambodian conflict for 13 days, with fighting to control territory occurring in three areas.

1. Ban Khlong Phang area, Ta Phraya District: Cambodian forces continue to reinforce their strongholds and have brought in additional artillery and mortars to support their operations.

2. Ban Nong Ya Kaeo area, Khok Sung District: Cambodia continues to strengthen their strongholds, periodically firing artillery and mortars at our positions, and has brought in additional forces in preparation to conduct strategic operations to seize control of the area.

3. Ban Nong Chan area, Khok Sung District: Cambodian forces have periodically fired artillery and mortars at our side. Supply and ammunition deliveries to various strongholds have been detected.

Regarding residents in the border areas of Sa Kaeo Province across four districts, the provincial authorities together with related agencies have opened 40 temporary shelters. Currently, a total of 16,580 people are receiving support and morale-boosting assistance from various sectors, resulting in good spirits among residents and sending encouragement to soldiers defending sovereignty, wishing them safety.
