At 3:00 p.m. on 20 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Lieutenant General Boonsin Padklang, advisor to the Army Commander and former Commander of the 2nd Army Region, along with his team, traveled to Prasat Ta Kwai and Hill 350 to encourage soldiers stationed there. He brought essential supplies, including rice, dry food, and blankets, to visit and boost morale.
Lieutenant General Boonsin stated that the 2nd Army Region has firmly secured the area, which is clearly Thai territory. Regarding Prasat Ta Kwai, the Fine Arts Department will be invited to survey and prepare for restoration. The 2nd Army Region will prevent opposing forces from entering again, and the army has already established plans for this.
"I am proud and admire the young soldiers of the 2nd Army Region who strive to reclaim this area for Thailand. This is a challenging region, and I pay tribute to the many soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect Thailand's sovereignty," Lieutenant General Boonsin said.
Reporters noted that upon arriving at Prasat Ta Kwai and Hill 350, Lieutenant General Boonsin offered incense to the site and the land, symbolically declaring this land as Thai territory. He acknowledged that descendants have defended it with their blood and lives, praying for their safety and victory over the enemy.
Afterward, Lieutenant General Boonsin visited soldiers at their quarters, where they were preparing Isan cuisine called "Soy Ju." He conversed with them to offer encouragement and gave money to buy additional food for the base.
