Trat Marines launched a landing operation to seize the Thmoda Casino, coordinating with the Air Force to send F-16 jets to drop 10 bombs, destroying illegal structures encroaching on Thai territory, including the residence of Lt. Col. Tem Yor, former head of the Cambodia-Thailand border coordination unit.
Update on the Thailand-Cambodia border situation: On 21 Dec 2025 GMT+7, reporters stated that the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Command (CBDC) through the Trat Marine Task Force (Task Force) conducted a landing operation to take control of the target area at “Thmoda.” They then coordinated with the Air Force to deploy F-16 fighter jets to drop 10 bombs, destroying the Thmoda casino building as well as the residence of Lt. Col. Tem Yor, former head of the Cambodia-Thailand border coordination unit, which was constructed encroaching on Thai territory.
The operation area is located at Ban Tha Sen, Laem Glad Subdistrict, Mueang Trat District, Trat Province, opposite Ban Song Kom Met, Thmoda Subdistrict, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province, Cambodia.
Following the airstrike, the Trat Marine Task Force deployed combat troops and armored vehicles to search the area and successfully secure all designated targets, marking the completion of the planned mission.
The Marines released a statement reaffirming the spirit of their personnel, stating that although time has passed, the Marines’ spirit remains steadfast in upholding the honor and bravery recorded by their ancestors, continuing the dedication and preserving the Navy’s prestige with their lives.
They also emphasized their distinctive motto: “When the Marines set foot ashore, crisis will be resolved.”
