Update on the Thai-Cambodian border situation on 21 Dec 2025: Rear Admiral Kornjak Yotsathasan, Navy deputy spokesperson, clarified the appearance of a Navy amphibious combat vehicle in the Ban Thamoda area, confirming it is indeed Thai sovereign territory. He explained that the Cambodian side used civilians as human shields, and the Navy operated cautiously, following Thai tactics and international rules.
There was no harm caused to people or damage to civilian structures. Thai forces are controlling and maintaining the area until further orders.
