On 22 Dec 2025, at the Thailand-Cambodia border, the Trat Marine Task Force conducted an operation to secure and clear a casino within their jurisdiction. After the situation stabilized, officials inspected the surrounding area and discovered lions and bears being kept in cages, believed to be wild animals held inside the casino.
After discovering the animals, officials coordinated with relevant agencies to relocate the bears to the Banglamung Wildlife Breeding Station in Chonburi, while the lions were sent to the Khao Son Wildlife Breeding Station in Ratchaburi for proper care in accordance with animal welfare standards.
