These drones resemble the "Ukrainian model of attacking Russian military bases."
On 23 December 2025 GMT+7, the 2nd Army Region's Facebook page posted: Urgent news! "NBTC, integrating with security agencies, has seized and intercepted a swarm of over 2,500 drones."
The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) detected suspicious drones flying near Suvarnabhumi Airport that have characteristics similar to the "Ukrainian model of attacking Russian military bases." Therefore, NBTC integrated efforts with security agencies to jointly assess the risk that these drones may have been covertly smuggled in by land before being deployed domestically. This could represent a new form of threat, making it necessary to intercept them at the earliest stage.
