
The Minister of Labour revealed that both employers and insured persons in nine southern provinces affected by flooding have been granted a six-month extension beyond the original deadline to submit their contribution payments, to assist and ease their financial burden.
On 23 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Ms. Treenuch Thienthong, Minister of Labour, said that the severe flooding has heavily impacted residents and businesses across several southern areas. She ordered the Social Security Office to implement urgent relief measures to alleviate the burdens on employers and insured persons under Sections 33 and 39 in nine flood-affected provinces. A proposal to extend the deadlines for submitting contribution payment forms and payments by six months was approved by the Social Security Committee and submitted for Cabinet approval on 9 Dec 2025 GMT+7.
Ms. Kanjana Poolkaew, Secretary-General of the Social Security Office (SSO), stated that the draft Ministry of Labour announcement on extending deadlines for submission of contribution forms and payments by employers and insured persons in disaster-hit areas will give them time to adjust and ease financial pressure while urgently restoring operations. The provinces granted this extension due to severe disaster impact are Trang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phatthalung, Yala, Songkhla, Satun, and Surat Thani. The new deadlines for submission and payment are as follows: For wages of Nov 2025, submit and pay by 15 Jun 2026; Dec 2025 wages by 15 Jul 2026; Jan 2026 by 15 Aug 2026; Feb 2026 by 15 Sep 2026; Mar 2026 by 15 Oct 2026; and Apr 2026 by 15 Nov 2026.
The Secretary-General added that this six-month extension for employers and insured persons in the nine southern provinces affected by flooding to submit forms and pay contributions later than originally scheduled will help alleviate financial stress and support business recovery.
