
The first day of the Thai-Cambodian GBC meeting lasted just 30 minutes. The Deputy Chief of Staff revealed that negotiations will resume tomorrow at 09:00, with the Cambodian side expected to attend in full.

The meeting lasted 30 minutes, after which Major General Yam Boraden led his delegation out of the room with a serious expression, without greeting the media or acknowledging the journalists waiting at the Ban Phak Kat permanent checkpoint gate.
After the meeting, at 17:45, General Natthapong Praokaew, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, revealed that he had just met with the Cambodian GBC Secretary. Today was the first day of the GBC meeting, which typically involves discussing topics to be addressed the next day (25 December). He stated Thailand’s position, and the Cambodian side responded, agreeing to reconvene tomorrow at 09:00 at the same location.
General Natthapong added that the Cambodian side is expected to attend with a full delegation tomorrow. Any progress will be communicated to the public accordingly.
When asked about the Cambodian delegation’s stance, he said discussions proceeded normally as they had previously met at GBC meetings in Malaysia and Koh Kong. Other details cannot yet be disclosed to avoid affecting ongoing negotiations.
