An officer from Muang Trat Police Station, dressed as a reindeer, welcomed Christmas by handing out sweets and helping children cross the street, creating smiles during the year-end festival.

Traffic police from Muang Trat Police Station were managing traffic for parents dropping off their children as usual. What caught everyone's attention and left a strong impression was the appearance of a "reindeer policeman" standing in front of the school handing out sweets to students.
The reporter learned that the reindeer policeman is Police Sergeant Major Lertphisit Thorinthara, a traffic squad leader at Muang Trat Police Station. He dressed as a reindeer wearing a Santa Claus hat, holding a cloth bag filled with chocolates, wafers, and candies, distributing them to smiling students passing by. The children happily stopped to receive the treats and politely thanked him with a traditional wai gesture, creating a charming and memorable scene.
Meanwhile, teachers managing student arrivals at the school took out their phones to capture the adorable moments throughout the morning. As students arrived gradually, Sergeant Major Lertphisit also assisted with traffic control, crossing the street to pick up children from the other side and safely escorting them across. His actions brought smiles to children, parents, and passersby alike.
Sergeant Major Lertphisit Thorinthara revealed that dressing up for Christmas was his personal idea, motivated by a desire to bring small smiles and happiness to the community and students before classes began. Additionally, since Trat province is currently facing unrest along its border areas, he wanted to help create a positive atmosphere for society, especially during the festive season approaching the New Year.
Regarding the reindeer costume and Santa Claus hat, Sergeant Major Lertphisit said he purchased them with his own money for around a thousand baht. He also prepared chocolates, wafers, and candies to distribute to the students, aiming to bring them joy before starting school on Christmas morning.
