GULF Donates 23 Million Baht to Support Families of Brave Soldiers Who Sacrificed Their Lives for the Nation

GULF donates 23 million baht from its 100-million-baht fund to families of brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending the nation's sovereignty during clashes on the Thai-Cambodian border between 8-23 December 2025.

On 25 December 2025, Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF), led by Sarath Ratanavadi, Chief Executive Officer, continued its commitment to social responsibility and national defense by donating 23 million baht to families of soldiers who lost their lives protecting the country's sovereignty along the Thai-Cambodian border during clashes occurring between 8-23 December 2025.

The donation ceremony was witnessed at the Army Headquarters by General Chaipruk Duangpraphat, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army, and General Boonsin Padklang, Advisor to the Army Commander, along with other senior military commanders. The funds came from the “100-million-baht Fund” established by GULF to provide support and honor soldiers injured or killed while on duty at the Thai-Cambodian border. This disbursement assisted 23 families who suffered losses.

Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO of Gulf Development Public Company Limited, said, "As a Thai company, we are deeply committed to supporting the Royal Thai Army’s mission both directly and indirectly. We have continuously consulted with the Army Commander to explore ways GULF can assist, whether through technology or satellite systems in which we specialize. However, we also place great importance on indirect support, especially boosting morale for the troops. Having grown up in a military family, I understand and appreciate the sacrifices made by soldiers on the front lines, as well as the losses experienced by the families of these brave soldiers. We established the 100-million-baht fund to help families of soldiers who died in service, and upon learning of the recent losses, our company...

...coordinated to provide financial support to alleviate hardships and offer solace to families who have lost their pillars of strength. As a Thai company, we affirm that we will not abandon one another and will closely monitor the situation. If the military requires further assistance, we are ready and willing to provide full support. It is the duty of every Thai citizen to love the nation and selflessly contribute, both directly and indirectly, to the best of our ability."

General Chaipruk Duangpraphat, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army, said, "On behalf of the Army, as well as commanders from the Special Warfare Command, First Army, and Second Army—units to which the fallen soldiers belonged—I would like to sincerely thank GULF for taking the time to donate funds to assist the families and relatives of the lost personnel. Every loss brings profound sorrow because each soldier is a vital individual—a father, a son, and the pillar of a family. No one wishes for such a loss, especially after fulfilling their duties with full commitment. The Army mourns deeply, and the names of these soldiers will be memorialized on this land. Their names and surnames will serve as a proud legacy for the Army and the nation, so that future generations know their fathers or sons sacrificed for this homeland. The Army thanks GULF for being part of the support system for those left behind."

Currently, the fund has assisted 40 families of soldiers who have died in service with a total of 40 million baht and provided over 10.5 million baht in aid to injured soldiers. The fund also prioritizes healthcare support, donating medical equipment valued at more than 2 million baht to the Sanpatong Camp Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Overall, the fund has contributed over 50 million baht to continuously honor and support the sacrifices of Thai soldiers.

Beyond the 100-million-baht fund, GULF continues to aid soldiers injured or killed in border security missions by distributing over 2,000 "GULF Care" survival kits to soldiers and affected civilians in various provincial shelters. The company also supports shelter funding and collaborates with affiliated companies to provide communication and satellite technology that enhances operational efficiency for security forces. GULF is committed to being part of driving sustainable growth in Thai society across all dimensions, believing that national security is a fundamental pillar for Thailand’s strong future progression.
