The 2nd Army Region summarizes the border situation: Thai soldiers have conducted a search and clearance operation of landmines in the "Ta Khwai" area, discovering numerous high-powered improvised explosive devices. Meanwhile, Cambodian forces continue to conduct sustained BM-21 rocket attacks.

On 26 December 2025, the 2nd Army Region Operations Center summarized the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border as of 26 December 2025 (17:00 GMT+7). The key developments in each area are as follows.

Sattahom-Don Trawl-Phu Phi-Sam Tae area. Cambodian forces employed grenade launchers, artillery, suicide FPV drones, tanks, and BM-21 rockets to intermittently attack our deployment lines. Our personnel remain safe. Our forces used artillery and tanks to suppress and destroy Cambodian support weapon positions, maintaining a constant defense line and reinforcing security at designated points.

Pha Mo I Daeng-Huay Tamaria-Phu Ma Kuea area. Cambodian forces used grenade launchers, artillery, bombing drones, suicide drones, and BM-21 rockets against our deployment lines. We responded with grenade launchers, bombing drones, and artillery, successfully destroying targets as planned.

Khana area. Our forces have established security, reinforced strongholds, and maintained fixed positions in the area.

Ta Khwai area. Our forces conducted searches, identification, and clearance of landmines at the site, discovering numerous improvised explosive devices composed of RPG warheads, K-type grenades, Claymore mines rigged with composite C4 explosives and detonators concealed in foam boxes, as well as anti-tank mines with composite C4 and detonators—each possessing high destructive power. Today, Cambodian forces continued sustained BM-21 rocket attacks against our positions. We countered with artillery fire and maintained defensive positions in our strongholds.

Ta Muean area. Cambodian forces attacked our positions using grenade launchers, recoilless rifles, and tanks. Our forces used artillery and support weapon emplacements along the Cambodian deployment line.

Other areas remain free of clashes but are under maximum vigilance.

The 2nd Army Region will implement all measures with full capability, even at the cost of lives, to protect the nation's sovereignty and independence, maintaining stability with honor and dignity forever.
