Phu Ruea National Park Opens for Free Tent Camping and Visits During Long Holiday, Chilly 11°C Morning

Tourists are lively and bustling. "Phu Ruea National Park" has opened for free tent camping and visits during the long holiday. This morning, the temperature challenged the cold at 11 degrees Celsius.

At 06:30 on 28 Dec 2025, reporters observed that the atmosphere at Phu Ruea National Park in Loei Province was lively. Many tourists traveled up to experience the cold weather, enjoying views from the summit and camping amid beautiful nature and fresh air.

Especially at the Phu Son tent area, just 2 kilometers from the summit, it was full of tourists camping in the chilly night air. The peaceful mountain surroundings added charm and vibrancy to the tourist spot. In the morning, visitors woke early to see the first light of day, feel the low temperature of about 11 degrees Celsius, and admire the sea of mist and the complex mountain scenery, leaving a lasting impression on guests.

Ms. Netnapa Ngamnert, head of Phu Ruea National Park, stated that this New Year festival, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation is gifting the Thai public free entry to national parks for five days from 31 Dec 2025 to 4 Jan 2026. She invited tourists to visit Phu Ruea National Park and join the merit-making and almsgiving activities on 1 Jan 2026 at the summit to bring good fortune and start the new year auspiciously for themselves and their families.

However, Phu Ruea National Park has prepared safety measures and visitor services, while requesting tourists to comply with rules, keep the area clean, avoid single-use foam and plastic containers (No single-use plastic), participate in waste separation, and conserve natural resources to preserve Phu Ruea's beauty sustainably.
