The Second Army summarized the Thai-Cambodian border situation on 27 Dec, reporting that heavy clashes continued in several areas during the morning before a ceasefire was ordered at noon. Thai forces regained full control over all areas that belong to Thailand and were reclaimed.
At 9:00 am on 28 December 2025, the Second Army summarized the previous day’s (27 Dec) Thai-Cambodian border situation. Throughout the morning, there were multiple armed clashes with supporting fire, especially along the Ubon Ratchathani and Sisaket province fronts, before both sides ordered a simultaneous ceasefire after 12:00 pm, leading to an overall easing of tensions.
Along the Ubon Ratchathani border in the Chong Bok area, the opposing forces used supporting fire weapons and multiple rocket launchers from behind Hill 745. Thai forces held their positions to respond until the ceasefire order came at noon. Meanwhile, in the Chong An Ma area, no significant activity was detected, and it also entered the ceasefire period.
At the Sisaket border, heavy fighting occurred along the dense frontline from Sam Tae–Don Traw–Phu Phee–Sattahom–Phanom Prasit So–Chong Ta Thao, with continuous exchanges of fire. Thai forces used counter-fire weapons against enemy positions. In the Sattahom area, a Thai soldier was injured by stepping on a landmine. Although there was no large-scale ground assault, there were periodic infiltration attempts. Even after the ceasefire, some movements were still detected.
Along the Phamoei Daeng–Huay Tamaria front, there was concentrated firing from the opposing side. Thai forces responded with coordinated multiple rounds of fire. Several personnel were injured by shrapnel and blast effects. After the ceasefire, movement of troops and vehicles was observed near Pak Chong Kan Ma and Wat Kaeo.
In the Phu Makhuea–Chong Don Ao–Phlan Yao–Phlan Hin Pad Kon area, the opposing forces launched attacks from Chong Don Ao and attempted infiltration several times. Thai forces used suppressive fire, maintaining the defensive line unchanged during the ceasefire period.
At the Chong Sangam area, although no significant ground movements were found, numerous drones were detected since early dawn. Thai forces employed aircraft, tanks, and drones to attack targets, resulting in intermittent clashes.
Along the Surin–Buriram border, the situation remained stable. In Surin province, areas such as Chong Chom, Chong Pero, Chong Rayi, Kana, Ta Kwai, Hill 350, Chong Krang, and Ta Muean Thom showed no significant activity and were under ceasefire after noon. Overall, the pressure was mainly from long-range fire without clear close assaults. In Buriram province, the Chong Sai Ta Koo area was calm with troops holding their positions.
Overall, heavy clashes occurred from early dawn until noon, especially along the Phra Wihan Mountain–Phamoei Daeng–Phu Makhuea and Chong Bok–Chong An Ma lines. After the ceasefire order past 12:00 pm on 27 Dec 2025, the intensity notably decreased, and the situation stabilized under full Thai control over all areas belonging to Thailand that were reclaimed.
