Update on the Thai-Cambodian border situation on 28 Dec 2025: Major General Winthai Suwaree, the Army spokesperson, revealed that at about 11:30 a.m. on 27 Dec 2025, the Army received a report from the 2nd Army Area that a soldier was injured by a PMN-2 anti-personnel landmine in the Khao Sattasom area of Sisaket Province, resulting in Private Narin Ngaoprai sustaining serious injuries with his right leg amputated.
Following the incident, the unit immediately provided assistance and airlifted the injured soldier by helicopter to Surin Hospital for treatment. The latest reports confirm he is now in stable condition.
Recently, Siwasek Sintoram, the Phimai district chief, delivered survival kits to the family of 25-year-old Private Narin Ngaoprai of the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 2nd Regiment, Ya Mo Battalion. Private Narin was born in Ban Khee Lek, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
Private Narin's family is impoverished, with his parents working as general laborers. Despite this, the family feels proud of Private Narin for serving to protect the nation even though he was injured and lost a leg. Government agencies in Nakhon Ratchasima Province will continue to support his family going forward.
