The Eastern Command has informed evacuees in Sa Kaeo Province that they can return to their residences starting from 31 Dec 2025, except for four border villages. This is to allow the EOD team to inspect and clear explosives and ensure the area is safe first.
On 28 Dec 2025 at 20:20, the 1st Army Region posted an announcement stating that the Eastern Command and Sa Kaeo Province have discussed and established guidelines for residents in four border districts of Sa Kaeo to return home after the situation has eased, with a focus on local context and safety. "Residents can return to their homes starting from 31 Dec 2025 onward."
Except for four villages: Ban Khlong Phaeng, Ban Ta Phraya, Ban Nong Ya Kaeo, and Ban Nong Chan, where the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team will inspect and clear the area before residents return. Further updates will be provided in due course.
