OR partners with the Ministry of Commerce to inspect and maintain fairness in trade, ensuring consumer confidence during the end-of-year 2025 and New Year 2026 festivals.
On 29 Dec, reporters reported that Mr. Witthayakorn Maneenetr, Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade at the Ministry of Commerce, presided over the opening ceremony of the trade fairness inspection activity for the 2026 New Year festival at the PTT Station, Bangkok – Vibhavadi Zeer branch. Mr. Anurak Methaveekulchai, Deputy Managing Director of Service Stations at PTT Retail Business Management Company Limited (PTTRM), a group company under PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), welcomed attendees to instill confidence among the public traveling and using the fuel stations during this important festival period.
The Department of Internal Trade and OR jointly conducted on-site inspections of services at PTT Station, following the department's operational guidelines to safeguard trade fairness. This especially involved overseeing fuel dispenser meters, pricing, and accurate, transparent information to protect consumer rights amid heavy travel, particularly during the New Year festival when service demand increases significantly. This collaboration between the public and private sectors enhances consumer protection effectiveness and establishes concrete standards of trade fairness.
OR supports government initiatives by emphasizing service standards, accuracy of fuel quantity and quality, as well as convenience and safety for customers. This ensures the public can travel during the New Year festival with confidence, peace of mind, and fair service. PTT Station also operates a Mobile Unit that regularly inspects service station standards to guarantee consumers receive products and services of the highest standard.
Additionally, PTT Station is among the fuel retailers participating in the Standard Fuel Dispenser project. Currently, 1,912 stations have earned the silver-level certification (maintaining standards continuously for six months), representing 86% of all PTT Stations nationwide. This makes it the fuel service brand with the largest number of stations certified at this level in the country. The company is working toward achieving the highest certification level—the gold level—which requires maintaining standards continuously for two years.
