On 30 Dec 2025, the Facebook page of the 1st Army Region posted a message expressing support for Private Nithikorn Somtum (known as Private Tokyo) of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, Royal Thai Army, who was seriously injured in the clash at Ban Nong Jan, Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province on 26 Dec 2025. He has undergone surgery and is receiving treatment.
As of 30 Dec 2025, his overall condition is stable, surgical wounds are healing without abnormal bleeding, neurological responses are good, vital signs are stable, and there are no signs of infection. He remains under the close care of the military medical team. His body is gradually recovering.
