The National Police Chief sends a New Year 2026 message thanking fellow officers for their united efforts in overcoming every challenge, honors the brave police brothers who sacrificed their lives, and pledges to ensure the well-being of the public.
On 1 January 2026, Police General Kittirat Phanphet, Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, issued a New Year message extending happiness and best wishes to police officers and their families, as well as to the public, with sincere regards.
"Throughout the past year, I thank every police officer who worked together to solve problems for the people and the country, helping us get through various incidents and crises for another year. However, crime and threats have evolved, including transnational crime, narcotics, and cybercrime, which have caused serious distress and damage affecting our citizens. Additionally, natural disasters, border security issues, and threats to the nation’s peace and security remain significant concerns."
The Royal Thai Police, as a law enforcement agency closely connected with the public, face high expectations. Despite diverse responsibilities, every officer must remain ready to perform effectively and respond to incidents promptly, while also delivering justice, advancing knowledge and tactics, and applying technology to work efficiently and keep pace with changing situations to build trust and confidence among the people.
For New Year 2026, I salute the brave police officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty over the past period. I urge all of us to continue working diligently to protect safety and maintain public order, addressing crime, national security, public hardships, and the welfare of the community with steadfast commitment.
On this auspicious occasion, I pray to the Triple Gem and all sacred entities worldwide, as well as the royal grace of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen, to bestow blessings upon the public, police officers, and their families.
