Supreme Court President Sends New Year 2026 Greetings to Thai People

Adisak Tantivong, President of the Supreme Court, sent a New Year 2026 greeting to the Thai people, affirming that the judiciary remains dedicated to delivering justice and emphasizing the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms with integrity, transparency, and fairness.

On 1 January 2026, Adisak Tantivong, President of the Supreme Court, sent a New Year 2026 greeting to the people throughout Thailand, stating:

"Dear fellow Thai citizens, on the auspicious occasion of the New Year 2026, I and the judiciary officials invite all Thai people to collectively remember the gracious benevolence of His Majesty the King and to sincerely pray to the Triple Gem and all sacred entities worldwide to bless His Majesty the King, Her Majesty the Queen, and all members of the royal family, wishing them happiness, extensive royal grace, and enduring protection for all Thais forever."

In the past year, the judiciary has remained committed to its role as the institution exercising judicial power to adjudicate cases fairly, uphold justice, and protect citizens' rights and freedoms, adhering firmly to the rule of law with integrity, transparency, and fairness throughout its duties.

Since assuming the position of Supreme Court President on 1 October 2025, I have set the policy “Morality Leads the Way, Building Trust, Enhancing Quality” aimed at advancing the Thai judiciary’s delivery of justice, based on three key approaches as follows.

First, “Morality Leads the Way” focuses on performing duties with honesty, upholding morality and ethics, and embodying the exemplary conduct of judges to ensure fair and unbiased rulings, thereby fostering lasting public confidence in the justice system.

Second, “Building Trust” recognizes that public trust is the foundation of stability in the justice process. We therefore strive to develop proactive communication and public relations to reduce gaps in citizens’ freedoms, alongside improving services to make justice more accessible, convenient, faster, and more cost-effective, while delivering justice and protecting rights in multiple dimensions with utmost efficiency to meet public needs.

Third, “Enhancing Quality” means the judiciary continuously develops personnel expertise to keep pace with the changing global context, as well as improving systems and justice processes to ensure justice is delivered accurately and fairly, so the judiciary can truly be a refuge for the people.

The judiciary continues to steadfastly protect and uphold the rights and freedoms of all citizens equally, performing duties with honesty and social responsibility to maintain peace and security for the people and the nation.

On this auspicious occasion, I extend my happiness and best wishes to all Thai citizens. I invoke the power of the Triple Gem and all sacred entities you revere, as well as the royal grace of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen, to grant you happiness, prosperity, robust health, freedom from illness and danger, strong body and mind, steadfastness in righteousness, and success in overcoming all obstacles. May Thailand enjoy lasting peace and stability.
Happy New Year 2026
