Air Chief Marshal Praphas Clarifies to International Community, Denies Thai Incursion into Cambodian Territory, Reaffirms Commitment to Peaceful Means and Progress of JBC

Air Chief Marshal Praphas Sonjaidee, Director of the Joint Border Situation Press Center for Thailand–Cambodia, clarified to the international community, denying that Thailand has encroached on Cambodian territory. He reaffirmed commitment to peaceful methods and the continuation of the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) following the ceasefire agreement coming into effect.

On 3 Jan 2026 GMT+7, regarding developments in the Thailand-Cambodia border situation, Air Chief Marshal Praphas Sonjaidee, Director of the Joint Border Situation Press Center for Thailand–Cambodia, addressed the public and international community about the facts concerning accusations published by Cambodia after the ceasefire agreement took effect.

Air Chief Marshal Praphas firmly stated that Thailand completely denies the allegations of territorial incursion and strongly confirms that

1. Thailand respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of every country, strictly adheres to the principle of non-use of force under international law, and complies rigorously with joint statements mutually agreed upon by Thailand and Cambodia.

2. Thailand fully complies with the United Nations Charter, international humanitarian law, and all relevant conventions.

3. Thailand is committed to resolving issues through peaceful means and bilateral negotiations, especially through the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) mechanism between Thailand and Cambodia.
