A tragic accident occurred when a six-wheel truck crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a pickup truck. The father and son were in shock as the wife, two daughters, and nephew who were traveling together died at the scene, totaling four fatalities.
At around 02:00 on 5 Jan 2026 GMT+7, a bronze-colored pickup truck collided with a six-wheel truck on Phahonyothin Road in Village No. 6, Khao Chai Thong Subdistrict, Tak Fa District, Nakhon Sawan Province. There were four fatalities and four injuries.
The accident happened on a curve, where the six-wheel truck was found overturned, blocking the road. The pickup truck's front windshield was shattered and damaged. The driver and his wife were injured and urgently taken to the hospital. About four meters away, the badly damaged bronze pickup truck was found. The driver, a man, and a young girl—his daughter—were in shock and calling for help for four others inside the vehicle: the wife, two daughters, and a nephew.
Rescue workers from Tak Fa Emergency Medical Services and Khao Chai Thong Subdistrict Administrative Organization used hydraulic cutters to free those trapped inside the pickup truck. Unfortunately, the four occupants trapped inside had all died, which was deeply distressing.
Preliminary information revealed that the pickup truck was carrying six people who had returned from New Year celebrations at their home in Phetchabun Province. They were preparing to return to sell fried chicken in Suphanburi Province, transporting belongings including a motorcycle and an electric bike in the truck bed.
The driver provided initial information that, upon reaching the accident site, the six-wheel truck crossed lanes, making it impossible for him to swerve in time because it was on a curve. This caused the vehicles to lose control and collide with full force, resulting in the deaths of his wife, two daughters, and nephew. Only he and one daughter, who is the twin sister of one of the deceased, survived. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Tak Fa Police Station.
