Army Grants Special Privileges to Personnel Serving in the Field Under Jakraphong Phuwanart Order

The Army grants special privileges to personnel serving in the field under the "Jakraphong Phuwanart" order amid the Thai-Cambodian border conflict, increasing bonus scores by 15% for the quota to take the Non-Commissioned Officer student exam and be selected as civil servants.

On 8 January 2026, the Facebook pageArmy Spoke Teamposted that due to the recent fighting along the Thai-Cambodian border, Army personnel stationed along the border have sacrificed their physical and mental efforts to carry out missions to control the area and protect Thailand’s sovereignty to the best of their abilities, enduring long periods under harsh conditions.

General Pana Klaewplodtook, Army Commander, recognizing the importance of this, assigned the Army Personnel Department to establish guidelines to promote career advancement for personnel serving in the field under the Jakraphong Phuwanart order. Since field service may limit opportunities to prepare academically and physically for the Army’s 2026 selection exams, special privileges have been set to boost morale and acknowledge their dedication to national security, as follows.

- All personnel will receive additional bonus scores amounting to 15% of the total score for the 2026 Army personnel selection exams, added on top of other special bonus points already determined by the Army.

- Conscripts serving in the field who request postponed discharge as of 1 November 2025, besides receiving the 15% bonus score for the 2026 Army personnel selection, will also receive 156 quota seats for the Army Non-Commissioned Officer student exam.

Interested and qualified personnel can follow details and apply for the 2026 Army One Stop Service program for enlisted officers through the websitehttps://recruitment.rta.mi.th/from now until 14 January 2026, or inquire further at their units to seize the opportunity to serve and advance their military careers within the Army.

For personnel named under the Jakraphong Phuwanart order who were injured during field service, from 7 December 2025 onward, the Army Commander has shown care and concern for those requiring medical treatment and recovery time. The Army Personnel Department has opened additional quota seats for this group: 50 seats for Army Non-Commissioned Officer students and 30 appointments as enlisted officers. Units are to survey interested and qualified personnel to provide data for selection by the Army-level committee to ensure their rightful benefits.
